REGISTRATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS


Student seeking for admission agrees to posses the following qualities to qualify him or her for Admission into our school. These are:

1. To observe punctuality when attending classes and submitting all school work on time.

2. To be Hard working and diligent during class work and also with home work.

3. To put in a lot of effort into improving the capacity to learn and applying the techniques and skills shown in school.

4. To recognize weakness in any chosen subject and to focus on improving on that weakness by studying more on the subject during private hours, while focusing on the usually class activities.

​5. To be determined and to preserve through all studies and the projects chosen by the student.

 

Registration Terms and Conditions (Please Read Carefully) ​

 

 

1. I am aware that the school operates on a unique method of teaching, the personal tutoring method. An instructor will be allocated to me to guide me throughout out my study period. Hence, I will need lots of hard work to realize my project for my course.

 

2. I am aware that the school operates on 85% practical and 15% theory as such I must attend not less than 90% of the credit hours allocated to me for my course choice to enable me earn my diploma or Certificate or I shall be obligated to pay additional fees to make up the 90% credit hour with NO DISCOUNT.

 

3. I agree that the Maximum classes that can be missed by me is 20 classes for Diploma Students and 10 Classes for Certificate Students, 2 class per month for customized courses. Therefore I authorize the school not to issue me a Certificate or Diploma if I miss these maximum practical classes stated here. I also agree that to gain back my estimated class hours missed, I will make monthly payment course fees to gain back all the classes missed.

 

4. Students cannot leave before the end of the classes or will be marked as absent for not completing the day's credit hour.

 

5. Receiving phone calls are prohibited during classes

 

6. It is my entitlement to ask as many questions until I understand the course and while in class, I shall wait patiently for the consultant to explain any part of the course that is not clear to me.

 

7. To submit my assignments within the first 3 month of my enrolment or pay a fine of 200euro for every month delayed (Excluding Certificate Course). That I have a discretion to buy materials and equipment for my personal home practice to aid my advancement in my studies.

 

9. The school will only provide the Diploma student with full registration with the school books and rulers, other materials used during the period of study will be provided by the student. Students taking the monthly pay as you learn plan will buy the school books.

 

10. Fashion shows and photo shoots are arranged by the student the School is permitted to use photos and videos of my work as a show case in any of Istituto di Moda Burgo's offices or online platforms.

 

11. I am aware that every last week of June (From the 20th June ) is the School's Fashion Show Week and No class is held.

 

12. To participate in the school’s fashion show in Milan, I am obligated to submit my application and Project no later than January 31st of the given year Fashion Show Registration Fees are non-refundable after payment

 

13. I am aware that for my exams I will defend my project online via the link http://www.imbnigeria.com/examination-submission-form.html

 

14. I am aware that Exam materials submitted by me are susceptible to rejection if not up to required standards and hereby undertake to be serious about my examination presentation your will be charged 200euro for any resubmission .

 

15. I shall submit all my Examination materials within one month after the end of my school year or pay a fine of 200 euro for every month delayed. 

 

16. I am aware that the school reserves the right to use my pictures, projects, project pictures and videos on internet, newspaper, social media and any other form of publicity.

 

17. I agree to the Fees Refund Policy: The Registration fee, Tuition Fee and any payments made is NOT refundable and NOT Transferable.

19. For Students choosing the Monthly and Installment Payment Option, payment for the next month classes should be received no later than ONE WEEK before the end of the month failure of which may result in the allocation of the given space to another prospecting student and the student will have to re- apply for a new seat availability check

 

20. I agree that the Registration Fees is ONLY valid for the study period indicated by me on my Application Form.

 

21. I am aware that my seat is automatically made available to newly Registered Student after the payment due date for student making monthly payment and half payment.

 

22. I am aware that If I would like to continue classes afterwards the student can fill out the Returning Student Form for a new seat availability check with a service charge of 100euro, which will be paid on a separate teller if there is an available seat. After which a new enrollment letter can be issued to the student to continue her classes for the remaining part of her school period as previously Register i.e intensive or normal classes.

 

23. I agree that attendant for classes is determined by Finger Print attendance Record.

 

24. I agree that all matters of Istituto di Moda Burgo (Nigerian Branch) must only be communicated via the branch email: info@imbnigeria.com

 

25. I am aware that I am only Restricted to the classroom area of my chosen Program.

 

26. I am aware the books are not allowed to be taken out of the Library (For Library Users ONLY)

 

27. I will pay for any item I miss use or break in the School. Cost of the item will be obtained and paid to the school.

 

28. I agree that the Computer Aided Design Program (CAD) software requires authorization on my student's computer before I can start the course. CAD Course can be attended by the student within 6-10 months during their program of study

 

29. I agree that Books can not be borrowed or taken out of the Library for any reason sake and bags or purses are not allowed in the Library and i am aware of the Library hours and days being 11am - 2pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

 

30. I agree that content from the website can be changed without prior notification to the me.

 

31. I am agree that fitting of the garments made in school are require to fitted on the dummies and mannequins provided in school. However, If would prefer my garment fitting to be done directly on my body, it will without any restrictions in the same way done on dummies and mannequins for a perfect fit.

 

Library Use Library use days are Tuesdays and Thursdays 8am – 11am or 11:00am – 2:00pm. I agree to make a minimum of 100 euro for any misuse or damage of books or any items in the Library.

 

I agree that I can not borrow books or take out books from the library. I agree not to take my handbag into the Library. (any important item should be left at home on Library days) I agree to remain silent in the Library I agree not to enter any other study room, Photography, Craft Room etc. except the rooms I have paid to use. To call the Instructor for assistance when in need at the Library ​

 

 

FASHION SHOW TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

Fashion Show in Milan, Italy Fashion Show Terms and Conditions.

 

We will only provide you with the document to take to the embassy requesting for you to attend the Fashion Show in Milan and the embassy will determine if the additional documents provided by you and your financial state qualifies you for a visa.

 

In the case of visa Denial there is no refund of the Fashion Show Fee Paid.

 

Please DO NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENT for the Fashion Show, if you are not sure of your status with the embassy.

 

The Fashion Show Fees is ONLY Valid for the enrollment year of the student. You will be required to pay embassy fee at the Italian Embassy

The Fashion Show Registration Fees is Non - Refundable.

 

Tickets should be bought around 2 weeks to the show as show dates may be subjected to change. All documents required by the embassy from the students, parents or spouse, must be valid or will lead to rejection and Visa by the embassy. All first time travelers are to report back to the embassy on arrival to Nigeria from Italy.

 

Students Guarantors must fill and sign the guarantors form before document are given to the student.

 

The Fashion Show Registration Fee Charge is only for document processing, Registration and Delivery of documents to the student.

 

The fashion show is free, you will not be charged for the model, hair, makeup, event, or anything associated with the Fashion show.

 

At the show may have a buffer and you may purchase you drinks at the bar if needed. Parents or spouse attending the Fashion Show with the student cannot be a Guarantor.

 

The fashion is a standing show and students and their visitors may stand through out the show.

 

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR STUDENTS ATTENDING THE FASHION SHOW:

 

Istituto di Moda Burgo is ONLY responsible for:

 

1. Issuing documents for students to secure Visa legally from the embassy to enable them attend the fashion show in Milan, Italy.

 

2. Issue of gate tickets to the students, parents or spouse for the fashion show. Istituto di Moda Burgo is NOT responsible for:

 

1. Student’s personal activities in Milan or during the travel period.

 

2. Student’s where about.

 

3. Arrival and departure day of any students.

 

4. Rescuing students from police case arising from misbehavior, illegal activities o r any other case.

 

5. Rescuing students from default of all immigration or emigration laws of any country.

 

6. Feeding, accommodation or transportation of any students. As such students must exert extreme caution in foreign environments, and learn to abide with all the laws and regulations of any region in which they find themselves. Show Terms and Conditions.

COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN

 

Computer Aided Design Program (CAD) Istituto di Moda Burgo (Nigerian branch) will:

 

1. help the student to install and setup the software for classes. In accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the Software Company.

 

2. Provide 2 classes per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) for the use of the computer aided design program to construct basic pattern blocks. e.g a. Basic Skirt Pattern, Basic Dress Block. 3. Basic Trouser Block for women's wear b. Basic T-Shirt Block, Basic Shirt block and Basic Trouser block for men's wear At the end of the one month Course, you will be given the software companies contact for any further questions or assistance for the (CAD) Computer Aided Design Pattern Making Software You will need to have the following minimum technical requirements on your computer:

IMPORTANT NOTICE

 

This is to notify all students upon completion of their program that the Diploma is OPTIONAL and NOT compulsory to all students. For students who are wishing or requesting to obtain a Diploma at the end of their study year, Below are the Diploma Specifications Guide:

 

1. Attendant of not less than 90% credit hour allocated to students by the school

 

2. Fill the Diploma Request form and acknowledge the submission date.

 

3. Submission of Fashion Design Portfolio of 12 designs with approved study materials online.

 

4. Submission of look book project portfolio with schools approved photo-shoot specification of the students outfit photoshoot will be executed by the student to the students taste and creativity.

 

Students are responsible for their Photo Shoot.

 

5. Submission of drafted patterns for 6 or outfits made by the student for the examination online., Examination Fees is 300 euro for Certificate and Diploma Course.

 

We like to stress again that the Certification and  Diploma is OPTIONAL and Only students who meet with all the above Examination Specifications will earn the Certification and Diploma otherwise substandard examination materials will be rejected. The student can extend submission date with an Extension Fee of 200euro per month or ask for extra services via the Student extra service Form.
